Terms & Consent
These Terms govern the use of the FGTA website, student portal, training services, certification workflows, and related services. By accessing or using FGTA services, you agree to these Terms.
1) Who we are
Fire Geeks Training Academy (“FGTA”, “we”, “us”) provides training, assessments, practical sessions, certification workflows, and related educational services. We may also provide fire detection and suppression services through our company operations.
2) Eligibility and account responsibility
- You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your details updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and any activity under your account.
- We may suspend or restrict access if we detect misuse, fraud, policy violation, or account compromise risk.
3) Training format and learning workflow
FGTA courses may be delivered online, in-office, or in a hybrid model. For hybrid (dual-phase) courses, the typical flow is: select a course → complete theory modules (with gating) → pass required quizzes/exams → certificate workflow → practical booking (if applicable).
- Module gating: Access may require marking modules complete and passing practice quizzes.
- Assessments: Final theory exams may be randomized from a question bank with a required pass mark.
- Practical bookings: Practical sessions are subject to eligibility checks, capacity limits, and admin approval rules.
4) Payments, Proof of Payment, and verification
Some actions require payment verification (for example, unlocking a certificate or confirming a practical booking). Where manual payment is used, you may be required to upload Proof of Payment (“PoP”) and payment details for verification.
- Submitting PoP does not automatically confirm approval; approval is subject to admin review and verification.
- We may request additional information if a payment record is unclear or incomplete.
- We may reject PoP that appears fraudulent, altered, mismatched, or unverifiable.
5) Certificates: rules, verification, and restrictions
Certificates may be issued, locked, unlocked, or revoked depending on completion and verification status. Public verification may be available using a Certificate ID or verification mechanism.
- No transfer: Certificates are issued to the specific student account and are not transferable.
- No tampering: Altering, forging, or misrepresenting certificates is prohibited and may result in account suspension and legal action.
- Revocation: We may revoke certificates in cases of fraud, misconduct, or confirmed policy violations.
- Verification: Verification results depend on our records at the time of the check. See Certificate Verification.
6) Practical sessions: attendance, safety, and capacity
Practical sessions (where applicable) are scheduled intakes with limited capacity and defined start/end dates. Your booking may require approval and may be subject to a booking deadline.
- Capacity: Seats are limited and allocated according to rules and availability.
- Attendance: You are responsible for attending on time and following joining instructions provided after approval.
- Safety: You must follow safety instructions and site rules. Unsafe behavior may result in removal without refund.
- Changes/cancellations: We may reschedule or cancel sessions due to operational, safety, or force majeure reasons.
7) Acceptable use and prohibited activities
- Do not attempt to hack, bypass gating, scrape data, or interfere with the portal’s normal operation.
- Do not upload malware, malicious files, or content that violates law or third-party rights.
- Do not impersonate others or submit fraudulent payment proofs or certification records.
8) Intellectual property
Training content, videos, question banks, designs, materials, and certificates are owned by FGTA or licensed to us. You may use content for personal learning only. You may not redistribute, sell, or publish FGTA materials without written permission.
9) Service limitations and disclaimer
- No guarantee: Training does not guarantee employment, certification outcomes, or third-party acceptance.
- Accuracy: We aim for accurate content, but training materials may evolve with standards and industry practices.
- System availability: The portal may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.
- External links: If external resources are referenced, we are not responsible for third-party content.
10) Refunds and cancellations (summary)
Refund policies may depend on the course type, payment purpose, and administrative verification status. We may publish a detailed refund policy in future. Until then:
- If payment was made in error, contact support as soon as possible with evidence for review.
- If a practical session is cancelled by FGTA, we may offer rescheduling or an alternative remedy depending on context.
- Fraudulent or unverifiable payments are not refundable.
11) Privacy summary (quick view)
We collect and process limited data to operate the portal: registration details, learning progress, payment proofs (when submitted), certificate records, bookings, and notifications. For full details, read the Privacy Policy.
- Core student data: names, email (read-only), phone, country, and profile photo (optional).
- Security: passwords are stored as hashes; session protections are applied server-side.
- Payments: PoP uploads are used only for verification purposes and stored as file paths (not database blobs).
- Verification logs: certificate verification checks may be recorded for security and fraud prevention.
12) Consent to communications
By using the portal, you consent to receive system notifications related to your learning progress, payments, certificate status, and booking status. These messages may appear inside the portal and/or via contact channels you provide.
13) Suspension, termination, and enforcement
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, compromised security, or misused FGTA materials. We may also restrict access to protect other users or the integrity of FGTA workflows.
14) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms. Registered students may be required to accept a new terms version when applicable.
15) Contact
For questions or requests, contact FGTA support using the details on the contact page (placeholders may be updated later): Contact. For quick guidance, see Help / FAQ.
Important note
FGTA training helps develop competency, but real-world fire safety work must follow applicable laws, standards, and employer/site safety procedures. Always prioritize safety and compliance.
